Mental Health Associate Interview & Hiring Event Brook Lane | Hagerstown, MD Wednesday, September 30 | 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Ready to start a meaningful career in behavioral health? Brook Lane is hosting an onsite Mental Health Associate Interview & Hiring Event for candidates interested in joining our inpatient behavioral health team. This is your opportunity to meet directly with our hiring team, learn more about the Mental Health Associate role, and interview onsite for available full-time opportunities.
Full-Time Schedules Available Day Shift:
7:00 AM - 7:30
PM Night Shift:
7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Make a Meaningful Impact Every Day Mental Health Associates play an important role in creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment for patients receiving behavioral health care. If you are compassionate, dependable, comfortable working with people during difficult moments, and interested in making a difference, we want to meet you. You do not need previous hospital experience to be successful in this role. Candidates with transferable experience from caregiving, education, human services, youth programs, residential settings, customer service, coaching, community support, or other people-focused positions are encouraged to apply. What You'll Do As a Mental Health Associate, you may: Build trust and therapeutic rapport with patients Provide direct care and support with compassion and professionalism Observe and document patient behaviors Respond to patient needs and assist with behavioral interventions Help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment Participate in or assist with therapeutic activities and programming Collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, and other members of the care team Support patients experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges Help reinforce unit expectations and boundaries in a respectful manner This is an active, hands-on position where your ability to remain calm, compassionate, and engaged can make a significant difference in a patient's experience. What We're Looking For Successful Mental Health Associates are: Compassionate and patient Dependable and team-oriented Strong communicators Comfortable working in a fast-paced behavioral health environment Able to remain calm and use sound judgment during challenging situations Comfortable providing direct patient support Interested in learning and growing within behavioral health Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Basic to moderate computer skills Valid driver's license Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification Previous mental health or human services experience is preferred but not required .
