GENERAL SUMMARY
As the first point of contact with Ulliance, Life Advisor Consultants provide exceptional customer service and assistance to those experiencing difficult life situations. The Life Advisor Consultant provides an intake assessment to determine the level of care required. This is an excellent position for recent graduates or retirees from social work, psychology, and counselor disciplines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete initial screening and/or assessments to begin intake process Document accurately all case information and contacts with clients and treatment providers Provide community resources/referrals related to substance abuse, childcare, financial aid, legal aid, etc.
Manage scheduling for internal therapists:
initial appointments, cancellations and rescheduled appointments Complete outreach calls to individuals required by service contracts Link, monitor, and coordinate services through the provider network Process provider service activity including claim rejections and appeals Complete authorization for mental health/substance abuse referrals for specified companies Monitor affiliate provider cases for accurate paperwork, additional sessions, and billing issues Comply with all HIPAA regulations, guidelines and rules Perform other duties as assigned or directed
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science field (social work, psychology, counseling or other applicable field) Ability to assess behavioral health issues Ability to cope with difficult and/or urgent situations requiring immediate decisions Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player Effective oral and written communications skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products Preferred qualifications Previous EAP experience Experience utilizing electronic healthcare records systems Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
