Then Cone Health Physician Recruitment Consultant RT.Then@ConeHealth.com The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Relief at Behavioral Health Unit Crisis Center (BHUC) a 24/7 facility providing timely access to mental health services for children, adolescents and adults presenting in a mental health crisis. The program is designed for those who need urgent behavioral health or substance use treatment. Assesses patients, interprets diagnostic test/results, and develops and implements treatments to address the patient's needs. Working in collaboration with physician(s) and working in a relief (PRN employed) capacity as needed (or predetermined schedule) often times with minimal supervision. Essential Job Function Performs physical assessments of the patient, reviews their medical history, and interprets diagnostic tests/results in order to provide effective treatment for the patient. Conducts preventive health screenings based on the patient's age, history, and unique needs to provide proactive health care. Educates patients and their family about medical conditions, treatment, and follow-up. Maintains record of all patient care in order to ensure accurate patient history. Performs medical procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines and clinical roles. Identifies ways to improve patient care by assessing, problem-solving, and evaluating clinical and system issues. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Required:
Master's degree Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant or PA-C.
