Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting pre-K to 12th grade students as a contract paraprofessional for the 2026/27 school year, beginning as soon as possible and extending through June 10, 2027. As a valuable part of a dynamic educational setting near Hillsborough, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students across private schools, offering dedicated support to those with mild to moderate behavioral needs. Your ability to foster positive learning environments, implement individualized strategies, and assist with daily activities will make a meaningful difference in students' lives.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Prior experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in a school setting Comfortable working across a variety of grade levels (pre-K through 12) Understanding of strategies to assist students with behavioral needs Compassion and patience in supporting young children, including toileting assistance as needed Excellent communication and collaborative skills Ability to adapt to flexible caseloads and changing school environments

Responsibilities:

Provide academic and behavioral support to students in classrooms and one-on-one Support teachers in implementing lesson plans and behavior intervention strategies Assist with toileting and personal care for younger children as required Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment Monitor student progress and document pertinent information as needed Encourage student participation and engagement through positive reinforcement This full-time position follows a Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours per week. You'll gain experience with a range of age groups and student needs while working within a collaborative, supportive school community.
