Evenings As a Mental Health Worker, you will serve on the front lines of patient care, helping ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for individuals receiving treatment.
You will observe, assess, and document patients' physical, emotional, and social well-being, communicating important changes to the nursing and clinical teams to support timely interventions and quality care. In this role, you will: Promote patient safety through vigilant observation, monitoring, and reporting. Build therapeutic relationships that support recovery and reinforce patient-centered care. Assist patients with daily activities while encouraging independence, dignity, and engagement in their treatment plans. Recognize and respond appropriately to signs of distress, anxiety, or behavioral changes. Record vital signs and other key clinical information that informs multidisciplinary treatment decisions. Contribute to a culture of compassion, collaboration, and continuous improvement in patient outcomes. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain valuable frontline experience in behavioral health while making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families. This is a full-time 8 hours, day/ evening rotational shift position (3:00pm
11:30 pm), includes working rotating weekends (Saturday/Sunday) for the NYP/Westchester Behavioral Health. Preferred Criteria Ideal candidates aspire to careers or degrees in social work or psychiatry. A college degree and at least one year of psychiatry-related experience Required Criteria High School Diploma or GED Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association
