Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. As a Behavioral Technician, you'll play a vital role in helping learners develop academically, behaviorally, and socially in a dynamic school environment. The assignment begins August 25, 2026 and runs through June 4, 2027, with a need for someone to start as soon as possible to assist a student near Media, PA.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Experience as a Paraprofessional or Behavioral Technician in a school setting Background supporting students with behavioral or emotional challenges Ability to work collaboratively within classroom teams and follow individual behavior intervention plans Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, educators, and families Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced educational environments High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or RBT certification preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation of behavioral strategies for a student identified by the school Assist with daily classroom activities, transitions, and routines Collect and document behavioral data as directed by supervising staff Reinforce positive behavior and provide guidance based on established intervention plans Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other paraprofessionals to foster student growth Maintain a safe, welcoming, and respectful learning atmosphere This is a fantastic chance to gain valuable experience while making a real difference in the lives of students and school communities.
