Job Description

Job Description Kolob Canyon RTC is seeking a dependable and responsible Grave Shift Mentor to help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for adolescent students throughout the night. Grave Shift Mentors play an important role in the safety and daily operations of our program. This position requires someone who can remain awake, alert, attentive, and dependable for the entire overnight shift , complete required student supervision and documentation, assist with overnight responsibilities, and help prepare the house for the morning shift. We are looking for team members who understand that how we show up matters just as much as the tasks we complete. Your individual strengths, personality, and interests are an asset to our students and our team. Primary Responsibilities Remain awake, alert, and actively engaged throughout the entire shift. Maintain required supervision of students and follow all safety and supervision procedures. Complete and document required overnight student checks accurately and on time. Monitor student activity and respond appropriately to students who wake or need support during the night. Communicate with other staff to ensure students are appropriately supervised at all times. Maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the shift. Follow Kolob Canyon policies, procedures, schedules, and emergency protocols. Complete required documentation before the end of the shift. Complete assigned overnight duties and help prepare the house for the morning shift. Assist with meal preparation and other assigned household responsibilities. Provide a clear handoff of important information to incoming staff. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality. Attend required staff meetings and trainings. What We Are Looking For Successful Grave Shift Mentors are: Dependable and able to consistently work scheduled overnight shifts. Attentive and able to remain awake and alert throughout the night. Calm and able to respond appropriately during unexpected or emergency situations. Patient and compassionate when working with adolescents. Comfortable maintaining clear expectations and boundaries. Organized and able to manage responsibilities independently. Effective verbal and written communicators. Able to work collaboratively as part of a team. Consistent with documentation and follow-through. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older . Must be able to pass required background checks. Experience working with adolescents, children, behavioral health, residential treatment, or related settings is preferred. College education or relevant training related to adolescents, children, behavioral health, or human services is preferred. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must complete all required employee documentation, training, and onboarding requirements.

Pay:
$17.00 - $17.50 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 per week
