Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our dynamic team across all shifts. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate mental health and behavioral support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with mental health and substance use challenges. Your expertise will help create a safe, supportive environment where clients can thrive. Responsibilities Assist with intake assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to each client's needs. Monitor and document client progress using electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality. Implement behavior intervention strategies. Conduct vital signs assessments and assist with medication administration under supervision, ensuring safety and accuracy. Utilize crisis management and de-escalation techniques to effectively respond to behavioral emergencies or distress signals. Support clients through mental health and behavioral care activities, fostering positive communication and client engagement. Collect data on client behaviors, responses to interventions, and progress for medical documentation and ongoing treatment planning. Provid clients with meals. Qualifications Be at least 21 years of age Education requirements are either a high school diploma, GED, statement validating education or higher. Be able to obtain or have current level one fingerprint clearance card Provide proof of freedom from pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) Obtain and maintain current training for CPR and First Aid. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism at all times. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members. Skills Experience working with adults with various mental health or substance use disorders preferred. Knowledge of PTSD care, addiction counseling, substance use disorder treatment, and crisis intervention strategies. Proficiency in medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification. Strong understanding of mental health support techniques, and behavior management strategies. Ability to operate EMR/EHR systems efficiently while maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards. Excellent client communication skills coupled with de-escalation techniques for crisis situations. Join us in making a positive impact!
