Clinical Services Position Summary Swiss Behavioral Health is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to support clients receiving behavioral health and substance use treatment services. The Behavioral Health Technician works directly with clients and the clinical team to help maintain a safe, structured, supportive, and recovery-focused environment. This position is ideal for someone interested in behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, social services, nursing, psychology, or a related field. Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and support to clients throughout scheduled shifts. Monitor client safety, behavior, participation, and overall well-being. Maintain a safe, respectful, and recovery-oriented treatment environment. Assist clients with daily schedules, activities, groups, appointments, and program expectations. Conduct and document client observations and safety checks as required. Accurately document relevant client interactions, incidents, behaviors, and shift activities. Communicate changes in client behavior or condition to appropriate clinical or supervisory staff. Assist with client admissions, discharges, and transitions as assigned. Support clinical staff in implementing individualized treatment and recovery plans within the BHT's authorized scope. Utilize appropriate de-escalation and crisis-management techniques when necessary. Follow organizational procedures for emergencies and promptly report safety or clinical concerns. Maintain professional boundaries and protect client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Participate in staff meetings, training, supervision, and continuing education as required. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within client and common areas as assigned. Perform additional duties consistent with the BHT role as assigned by clinical or administrative leadership.

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or GED. At least 18 years of age. Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with clients, families, and staff. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Ability to complete required background screening and organizational training. Basic computer skills and ability to complete electronic documentation.

Preferred:

Previous experience in behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, healthcare, residential treatment, social services, or a related setting. College coursework or degree in psychology, social work, behavioral health, nursing, criminal justice, or a related field. CPR/First Aid certification. Experience working with individuals in recovery. Compensation $16.00-$22.00 per hour , depending on education, relevant experience, qualifications, certifications, shift requirements, and organizational needs.
