Performs a variety of clerical duties and nonclinical tasks to support the provision of patient care.
Performance:
Position Specific Essential Functions Coordinate aspects of the Admissions Process Receive and direct Inquiry calls and referrals Processing of referrals for possible admission Collaborate with Admissions Nurse to facilitate admission process Log/Track referrals through electronic referral system Assist Admissions Nurse in reviewing of EMR to determine appropriateness of possible admission Bed Board monitoring Insurance Verification Patient Registration Schedule Admission Assessments Check Patients In/Out Patient safety monitoring and observation Direct patient care while in the Intake department Search and document patient belongings Clean/Prepare Intake assessment rooms Obtain Admission Consents Obtain and Upload Collateral/Supporting Documentation Admission Chart Audits Stock Admission Supplies Demonstrates knowledge of vital signs, acquisitions, and reporting. Demonstrate knowledge/use of medical detector to wand patients for contraband Maintain knowledge of relevant care protocols, adhere to facility policies, and support quality improvement goals while ensuring confidentiality. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Required High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience:
Preferred Two or more years of experience (or educational equivalence) in Mental Health, Social Services, and/or
Behavioral Science Certification/Licensure:
Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date SAFE Approach Level III Certification Must obtain within six (6) months of start date
