Mental Health Tech Shannon Health - 3.8 San Angelo, TX Job Details PRN 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Summary Under the supervision of registered nurses, assist in implementing medical, behavioral and psychiatric health care of patients. Performs a variety of clerical duties to support the provision of patient care.
Performance:
Position Specific Essential Functions Conducts activities which include, but are not limited to: walks, social events, suicidal monitoring outings. Records patient's activities. Demonstrates knowledge of vital signs, acquisitions and reporting. Functions as a member of the treatment team and is responsible for assigned duties such as observation rounds, suicide risk observation and assisting with behavior modification programs needed by the nursing staff. Maintains patient charts in the proper format, including physician orders and progress notes; files reports and test results in an accurate and timely manner; maintains awareness of patient and chart locations at all times in order to locate in necessary. Reports equipment malfunctions to appropriate department; practices good computer maintenance of keeping screen and keyboard free of dust and by maintaining an appropriate supply of print paper; is familiar with the steps to follow when the computers system is on downtime. Receives patient service and information requests and responds by initiating proper action in a timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Required High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Experience:
Preferred Two or more years of experience (or educational equivalence) in Mental Health, Social Services, and/or
Behavioral Science Certification/Licensure:
Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Must obtain within ninety (90) days of start date SAFE Approach Level III Certification Must obtain within six (6) months of start date
