Job Description

Duties:

Provide comprehensive midwifery care to pregnant individuals, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care
Conduct physical examinations and assessments of pregnant individuals
Monitor fetal development and maternal health during pregnancy
Assist with labor and delivery, including providing emotional support and pain management techniques
Conduct postpartum visits to ensure the well-being of the mother and newborn
Educate pregnant individuals on prenatal care, childbirth preparation, and newborn care
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for pregnant individuals
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Experience:

Preferred of 2 years of experience as a midwife in a hospital or medical office setting; willing to train new graduates.
Proficiency in discharge planning and

ICD-9/ICD-10

coding

Experience in acute care and primary care settings
Knowledge of specimen collection processing and sterile processing procedures
