Job Description
Duties:
- Provide comprehensive midwifery care to pregnant individuals, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care
- Conduct physical examinations and assessments of pregnant individuals
- Monitor fetal development and maternal health during pregnancy
- Assist with labor and delivery, including providing emotional support and pain management techniques
- Conduct postpartum visits to ensure the well-being of the mother and newborn
- Educate pregnant individuals on prenatal care, childbirth preparation, and newborn care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for pregnant individuals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Experience:
- Preferred of 2 years of experience as a midwife in a hospital or medical office setting; willing to train new graduates.
- Proficiency in discharge planning and
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding- Experience in acute care and primary care settings
- Knowledge of specimen collection processing and sterile processing procedures
