Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Board-Certified Music Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will utilize the power of music to promote healing, enhance emotional well-being, and improve quality of life for diverse patient populations. Your expertise will help individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, chronic illnesses, and mental health challenges achieve meaningful progress through tailored therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized music therapy treatment plans aligned with each patient's goals and needs. Facilitate both individual and group music therapy sessions across various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, hospice care, and community programs. Incorporate techniques from behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, recreational therapy, and other modalities to enhance therapeutic outcomes. Collaborate with multid such as psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and medical staff to coordinate comprehensive care. Adapt therapy approaches for individuals with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, dementia, or chronic illnesses to maximize engagement and benefits. Qualifications Certification as a Board-Certified Music Therapist (CBMT) is required. Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or neurodevelopmental disorders. Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles including behavioral therapy and addiction counseling techniques. Experience providing mental health counseling, individual/group counseling, and psychiatric patitients. Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for children and adults with diverse needs including dementia care and chronic illnesses. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and engage patients of all ages in therapeutic activities.
