About Re-Education Services Re-Education Services is a private, school-based program providing comprehensive special education services to students (preschool through age 22) with autism and emotional, social, and behavioral disorders across Northeastern Ohio. We offer a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach using research-based techniques, interventions, and models to support student learning in a team-centered atmosphere. Our dedicated team consists of licensed intervention specialists, associate teachers, support staff, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists. Job Summary We are seeking a passionate, board-certified Music Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will design and implement individual and small-group music therapy sessions tailored to students with autism and various social, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Additionally, you will foster a sense of community and creative expression by leading the school choir and coordinating community performances.
Key Responsibilities Therapeutic Interventions:
Provide individual and small-group music therapy sessions to identified students based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and unique behavioral needs.
Choir Leadership:
Organize, instruct, and direct the school choir, making music accessible and engaging for all participating students.
Community Engagement:
Arrange and coordinate choir performances within the local community to showcase student achievements and build confidence.
Collaboration:
Work closely with intervention specialists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and counselors to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Documentation:
Maintain progress notes and track student growth toward therapeutic and academic goals.
Qualifications & Requirements Certification:
Must be a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC).
Experience:
Proven experience providing music therapy to students with autism spectrum disorders and/or social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
Skills:
Strong behavioral management skills, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
