The ideal candidate will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services using nuclear medicine technology while ensuring patient safety, accurate imaging procedures, and compliance with radiation safety standards. This position requires a skilled technologist with a minimum of 2 years of nuclear medicine experience, community hospital experience, and proficiency with Cerner charting. The role primarily serves adult and geriatric patient populations in a short-term acute care hospital environment. Responsibilities Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely while following radiation protection guidelines. Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including SPECT systems and Siemens equipment. Perform a variety of diagnostic studies, including: Bone scans (limited, whole body, three-phase) Myocardial perfusion imaging and nuclear cardiology stress tests Renal studies and renal flow/function imaging Lung ventilation/perfusion scans Brain scans and cerebral blood flow studies Gastric emptying studies HIDA scans MUGA scans Thyroid uptake and I-123 studies Tumor localization studies Liver/spleen imaging Sestamibi parathyroid scans Perform venipuncture and initiate/maintain IV access as required. Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic medical records. Follow isolation precautions, PPE requirements, and hospital safety policies. Handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials according to regulatory standards. Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience. Community hospital experience required. Adult and geriatric patient care experience. Experience with Cerner charting system required.
Current required certifications:
BLS CNMT or NMTCB certification ARRT(N) preferred Indiana state license (required) Ability to perform independent nuclear medicine procedures in an acute care hospital setting. HL01
Pay:
$2,700.00 - $2,900.00 per week Application Question(s): Do you have at least 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience in a hospital setting? Do you have a valid Indiana Nuclear Medicine Technologist license? Do you hold a current CNMT or NMTCB certification and BLS certification? Do you have experience with Cerner charting system? Do you have hands-on experience performing nuclear cardiology, SPECT, bone scans, renal scans, and other nuclear medicine procedures? Familiarity with Siemens nuclear medicine equipment and Spectrum DSpect systems.
