Summary Job Description:

Nuclear Med Tech Full-Time, 1st Shift Sommerset, Ky The Somerset Cardiac Imaging Center, an outpatient department of Baptist Health Corbin, is dedicated to providing comprehensive cardiovascular diagnostic services in a patient-centered environment. Team members work closely with cardiologists, providers, and clinical staff to deliver high-quality testing and support the early detection and management of heart disease. Our department fosters a collaborative culture where clinical excellence, compassion, and professional growth are valued as we work together to improve the health of the communities we serve. Provides health care services using radioisotopes to assist in diagnosis or treatment (therapies). Performs Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT related procedures, computer processing, and related techniques to produce images for the interpretation by a Radiologist or a licensed independent practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure. Performs Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures and ensures high-quality diagnostic images. Provides safe patient care, including patient verification, monitoring, venipuncture, and radiation protection. Maintains imaging protocols, equipment quality control, regulatory records, and radioactive waste requirements. Coordinates patient flow and works with Cardiologist, nursing, transport, and other departments. Assists with staff training, competency, and supervision of imaging students. Ensures compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and Nuclear Medicine regulations.

Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED Completion of a Nuclear Medicine education program Less than 1 year of related experience ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification Current Kentucky Radiation License BLS within 90 days of hire Advanced ARRT Registry within 1 year
