Nuclear Med Tech ( PRN ) - One (1) Avaliable Nuclear Med Tech position summary: The Registered and Licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist will provide services timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will also perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Radiology Department Policy and Procedure Manual promoting a Culture of Safety; will assist in assigned administrative tasks, and will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs.

Nuclear Med Tech required experience:

None required, six (6) months or greater is preferred.

Nuclear Med Tech educational requirements:

Graduate of an AMA approved program in Radiology or Nuclear Medicine Program, or On the Job Training to acquire La. Licensure in Nuclear Medicine. American Registry of Radiology Technologists (R) Active Status (N-Nuclear preferred). Basic Life Support (CPR). LSRT - License from the State of Louisiana to practice Radiography and Nuclear Medicine.

Nuclear Med Tech physical requirements:

Medium work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor constitutes a maximum lift of 21-50 pounds on occasion and/or a maximum lift of 11-25 pounds on a frequent basis. May be required to assist in the turning, lifting, or moving of patients as well as walking about from patients' rooms, as well as to and from various hospital areas •This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer•
