Full Job Description Role Overview:
Responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures aligned with patient needs, regulatory standards, and hospital policies.
Qualifications:
Must be a graduate of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology, Science, or related health field. Requires active MRT certification from the Texas Medical Board and current ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or CNMT certification within 6 months of hire. CPR certification is also necessary.
Key Skills:
In-depth knowledge of nuclear medicine technology, chemistry, physics, and biomedical sciences; proficiency with gamma cameras, SPECT/CT, PET/CT scanners, and nuclear medicine computers. Basic understanding of EKG, injection techniques, and nuclear medicine therapies. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform quality control measures.
Responsibilities:
Conducts quality control, confers with physicians to determine appropriate procedures, documents all operations, and ensures compliance with guidelines. Identifies process improvements, provides clinical instruction to students and residents, and stays current with industry advancements. Maintains positive relationships with staff, physicians, and patients. Ensures adherence to laws, regulations, and accreditation standards through effective internal controls.
