Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, including Cardiac PET/CT scans and SPECT scans, and demonstrate proficiency in operating advanced imaging equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diagnostic evaluations that significantly impact patient outcomes while adhering to strict radiation safety protocols. Duties Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring accurate dosage and patient safety. Operate diagnostic imaging equipment such as SPECT scanners, PET scanners, and CT systems to perform high-quality scans.. Implement radiation safety procedures diligently to protect patients, staff, and oneself from unnecessary exposure. Assist with patient care by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining effective communication throughout the process. Maintain detailed documentation within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems and manage picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) for image storage and retrieval. Follow aseptic techniques during invasive procedures such as IV insertions and ensure proper operation of medical imaging equipment in compliance with safety standards. Requirements Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist from an accredited program; licensure or registration as required by local regulations. Demonstrated experience with PET scans, , SPECT scanners, and diagnostic Coronary artery Calcium score CT scans. Proficiency in operating medical imaging equipment including CT scanners and implementing radiation safety procedures. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Ability to perform IV insertions accurately and efficiently while maintaining aseptic technique. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and picture archiving communication systems (PACS). Basic life support (BLS) certification; additional certifications in radiation safety or advanced imaging are preferred. Excellent communication skills combined with a commitment to patient care, safety, and technical proficiency.
