Job Description

The University of Vermont Medical Center, a leader in healthcare innovation and community wellness, is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dedicated team in Burlington, VT. This role is critical in providing high-quality nuclear medicine services, ensuring diagnostic accuracy, and delivering compassionate patient care in a cutting-edge medical environment. The successful candidate will operate specialized equipment, prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, and collaborate with radiologists to analyze findings and optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment safely and effectively. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and safety standards. Perform imaging procedures and process data to assist in diagnosis and treatment by physicians. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations pertaining to radiological services. Record and maintain accurate patient records and radiologic findings. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to assess patient needs and treatment plans. Required Skills Proficiency in using nuclear medicine equipment and software. Strong understanding of radiopharmaceuticals and their safe handling. Ability to interpret medical images and data. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on patient safety.
