- Part-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- to join our Express Care team. This position is ideal for an experienced, patient-focused provider who enjoys a fast-paced clinical environment and is comfortable evaluating and treating a wide variety of medical conditions. The Nurse Practitioner will provide high-quality, efficient patient care in our Express Care facilities and will be expected to work a flexible part-time schedule that

•. Position Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries. Perform comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations. Develop appropriate treatment plans based on clinical findings. Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice and applicable regulations. Order and interpret appropriate laboratory tests, diagnostic studies, and imaging. Perform or assist with common Express Care procedures as appropriate. Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and followup care. Recognize conditions requiring a higher level of care and appropriately refer or transfer patients when necessary. Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record. Communicate effectively with patients, families, clinical staff, and other healthcare providers. Provide efficient, compassionate, and professional patient care while maintaining appropriate clinical standards. Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team when consultation or additional support is needed. Follow all Medical Associates of the Shoals policies, procedures, and clinical protocols. Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all applicable federal and state regulations. Participate in weekend coverage as part of the regular parttime schedule. Qualifications Current Alabama Nurse Practitioner license in good standing. Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one. Current BLS certification. Previous clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred. Express Care, Urgent Care, Primary Care, or Emergency Medicine experience strongly preferred. Strong clinical assessment and decisionmaking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a healthcare team. Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment. Strong commitment to patient care and customer service. Schedule Parttime Flexible scheduling based on practice needs and provider availability. Weekend availability is required. Additional weekday shifts may be available based on staffing needs.
