In this role, you will deliver expert dermatological care, perform comprehensive patient assessments, and collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient-centered services. Your clinical knowledge, procedural skills, and enthusiasm for skin health will drive positive outcomes and enhance patient satisfaction. Duties Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and assessment of skin conditions. Diagnose dermatological issues such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, and malignant lesions. Perform or assist with dermatological procedures including biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, dermabrasion, and injection treatments like botulinum toxin therapy. Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans aligned with best practices and patient needs. Manage follow-up care, monitor treatment progress, and adjust plans accordingly to optimize healing and patient comfort. Collaborate with dermatologists and other healthcare providers to coordinate complex cases involving critical care or comorbid conditions. Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on skin health maintenance, preventive measures, and post-procedure care to promote long-term wellness. Skills Proven experience working within EMR/EHR platforms like Epic or Cerner for documentation and data management. Strong knowledge of dermatological procedures including suturing, injection administration (botulinum toxin), and biopsy techniques. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments with attention to detail in medical history collection and vital signs measurement. Familiarity with CPT coding for dermatology procedures and ICD coding for accurate diagnosis documentation. Experience managing acute pain conditions, triage protocols, and urgent dermatological issues in hospital or outpatient settings. Critical care experience including ICU or Level I/II trauma center exposure enhances ability to handle complex cases involving infectious disease care or emergency response. Skilled in collaborating with healthcare professionals across disciplines such as internal medicine, emergency medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, or hospice & palliative medicine for holistic patient care. Excellent client communication skills coupled with a strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology knowledge necessary for effective diagnosis and treatment planning.
