Flexible scheduling ( approximately 5-10 hours per month ) Supportive, collaborative clinical environment Opportunity to gain or expand experience in geriatric psychiatry Free meals and unlimited fountain drinks while on site Your Role As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Anew Health , you will: Provide high-quality psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for geriatric inpatients. Conduct psychiatric evaluations, histories, and physicals. Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with Kansas state law and facility protocols. Collaborate with psychiatrists, nursing staff, and therapy teams to develop individualized care plans. Educate and counsel patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options. Participate in interdisciplinary treatment meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Active and unencumbered Kansas Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification. Minimum one (1) years of psychiatric experience preferred; geriatric or inpatient psych experience a plus. Current State and Federal DEA registration. Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC). Strong communication and collaboration skills. Compassionate, professional, and patient-centered approach to care.
