Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Part-Time | 1099 Contractor | Hybrid (Mostly Telehealth + Some In-Office as We Grow) Emerge Wellness Center is a growing private mental health practice dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care. As we expand our services, we are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work primarily via telehealth, with occasional in-office services as the practice continues to grow. Job Overview In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, individualized treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions to diverse patient populations in an outpatient setting. Your expertise will help improve mental health outcomes, promote recovery, and enhance overall well-being. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including patient history, mental status examinations, and risk assessments Diagnose mental health conditions using DSM-5-TR and ICD-10 criteria Provide medication management and monitor treatment response Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, ensuring adherence to best practices in psychopharmacology Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating medication management, therapeutic approaches, and coordination of care Provide follow-up care and ongoing psychiatric monitoring Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, medication use, lifestyle changes, and available resources Collaborate with therapists and other healthcare providers to support continuity of care Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Participate in supporting the growth and development of the practice others Qualifications & Experience Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Active APRN license in Maryland (DC state licenses is a plus) Active DEA license Professional liability insurance Experience working in behavioral health settings such as clinics, outpatient practices, or hospital settings Experience working with diverse populations Proficiency using EMR/EHR systems knowledge of psychopharmacology and medication management Familiarity with ICD-10 diagnostic coding Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards Experience with telehealth or integrated care models preferred Compensation 1099 Independent Contractor Compensation is per visit:

Initial Psychiatric Evaluations:

$100 per completed evaluation

Follow-Up Medication Management Visits:
