Job Description Lead Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Family Medicine - Full-TimeThis is a full-time, internal-only position for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to serve as the lead APP in our Family Medicine department. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with scheduled monthly on-call responsibilities (no weekend coverage required).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Lead and supervise inpatient family medicine operations, currently managing 140 patients with anticipated growth to 164 patients by Q4 2026Provide direct clinical care to inpatients with a focus on behavioral health patientsDevelop and implement clinical protocols and best practices for the inpatient family medicine teamMentor and support other Advanced Practice Providers and clinical staffCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams including behavioral health specialists, physicians, and nursing staffManage patient caseloads, conduct patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planningParticipate in scheduled monthly on-call coverage as neededMaintain comprehensive patient documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirementsContribute to quality improvement initiatives and departmental goals
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
Internal APP of Henry Ford Health, in good standingCurrent licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantMinimum 2 years of experience in inpatient behavioral health settings (preferred)Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificationActive Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license
