Nurse Practitioner - The Beauty Lab, Merrick, NY The Beauty Lab in Merrick, NY is seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our growing luxury wellness and medical aesthetics team. MED SPA / MEDICAL AESTHETICS EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED - MUST HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN A MED SPA OR WELLNESS SETTING MUST BE AVAILABLE ON-CALL AS NEEDED MUST BE RESPONSIVE AND AVAILABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH OUR RN TEAM REGARDING PATIENT CARE, CLINICAL QUESTIONS, AND TREATMENT GUIDANCE

Job Description As a Nurse Practitioner at The Beauty Lab, you will provide medical oversight, patient assessments, and advanced wellness and aesthetic services, including IV therapy, injections, injectables (if applicable), and customized treatment plans tailored to each client's goals and health needs. A key component of this position is maintaining consistent communication with our Registered Nurses and clinical team. The Nurse Practitioner will serve as an accessible clinical resource for patient-specific questions, treatment eligibility, clinical concerns, and escalation of care when appropriate. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, assessments, and medical histories Perform Good Faith Exams (GFEs) and determine treatment eligibility Develop personalized wellness and aesthetic treatment plans Administer or oversee IV therapy, injections, and medical treatments as appropriate Review relevant patient histories, medications, allergies, contraindications, and clinical concerns Monitor patient responses and appropriately manage or escalate adverse reactions or complications Educate clients on services, expected outcomes, aftercare, and wellness benefits Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation using EMRs Ensure adherence to applicable NYS medical regulations, safety standards, scope-of-practice requirements, and internal clinical protocols Collaborate closely with the Medical Director, Registered Nurses, estheticians, and management Provide on-call clinical support as needed RN Communication & Clinical Oversight Responsibilities The Nurse Practitioner will be expected to maintain consistent and professional communication with The Beauty Lab's RN team to promote continuity of care, patient safety, and appropriate clinical oversight.

Needed Remain accessible to RNs for time-sensitive patient questions, treatment eligibility concerns, contraindications, medication questions, abnormal findings, and changes in patient condition Review and respond to RN clinical questions within an appropriate timeframe based on the urgency of the situation Provide clinical direction when an RN identifies a concern before, during, or after treatment Review patient information or documentation when additional provider clearance is required Assist with determining whether a scheduled treatment should proceed, be modified, postponed, or escalated for further medical evaluation Communicate clearly with RNs regarding provider recommendations, treatment parameters, follow-up instructions, and changes to a patient's plan of care Be available for on-call clinical support as required Weekly Maintain communication with the RN team regarding clinical questions, patient follow-ups, treatment concerns, and cases requiring continued monitoring Review outstanding clinical issues or patients requiring NP follow-up Address recurring questions regarding protocols, contraindications, documentation, or treatment procedures Communicate relevant clinical updates or recommendations to the RN team and management Identify opportunities for additional RN education or protocol clarification Monthly Participate in a clinical review/check-in with the RN team and/or management to discuss patient care, clinical concerns, treatment protocols, documentation, and safety Review trends involving adverse reactions, treatment concerns, contraindications, or other clinical issues when applicable Assist with reviewing and updating clinical protocols, standing procedures, emergency procedures, and treatment guidelines as appropriate Identify training or continuing education needs for the clinical team Collaborate with the Medical Director and management regarding opportunities to improve patient safety, clinical workflow, documentation, and quality of care Support ongoing compliance and quality-assurance initiatives within the practice What We're Looking For Active Nurse Practitioner license in New York State Board Certified (FNP, ANP, or relevant specialty preferred)

REQUIRED

Prior med spa / medical aesthetics / wellness center experience 3-5+ years of clinical experience preferred Experience with IV therapy, injections, injectables, or aesthetic treatments strongly preferred Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills Excellent communication, responsiveness, and professionalism Ability to work collaboratively with RNs and other members of the clinical team Knowledge of NYS compliance requirements and professional scope of practice Ability to provide dependable on-call clinical support when needed Compensation & Benefits Compensation based on booked patient appointments (Independent Contractor) Opportunity to grow personal client base and increase earnings over time Flexible scheduling with on-call availability as needed Collaborative relationship with our Medical Director, RN team, and management Luxury, supportive, and growth-focused work environment If you're an experienced Nurse Practitioner with med spa experience , strong clinical communication skills, and the flexibility to provide ongoing RN support and on-call clinical guidance when needed , we'd love to hear from you.
