Job Description

Responsibilities Conduct thorough pediatric patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment plans. Prescribe medications and treatment regimens in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and DEA regulations. Manage acute and chronic conditions across pediatric medicine. Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, nurses, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care within EMR/EHR systems. Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care for remote or underserved populations. Document all clinical encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards. Requirements Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to prescribe medications under Ohio state law. Experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency rooms, ICU/critical care units, or outpatient clinics. Strong proficiency with EMR/EHR systems. Knowledge of CPT coding for billing purposes and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) for accurate diagnosis documentation. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments; triage experience is highly desirable. Strong understanding of healthcare diagnosis processes, physiology knowledge, and client communication skills to deliver exceptional patient care.
