Experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Wellness & Functional Medicine

Job Description

Aestique is expanding its established plastic surgery, medical aesthetics and ambulatory surgery campus to include a comprehensive, physician-led wellness division. We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to serve as the program's primary clinical provider and help shape this new service line from the ground up. This position combines direct patient care with program development. The provider will work closely with Aestique's Medical Director and team to build an evidence-based, highly personalized wellness program focused on women's health, hormone management, metabolic health, medical weight management, preventive testing, healthy aging, IV therapy, and surgical optimization and recovery. The ideal candidate is clinically experienced, thoughtful and highly personable. This individual should be comfortable managing patients within an established collaborative structure while also helping develop the clinical protocols, workflows and quality standards needed to build a trusted wellness program. Primary Responsibilities Patient Care Conduct comprehensive wellness consultations, including medical-history review, physical examination, vital-sign assessment, and evaluation of symptoms, risk factors and health goals Evaluate concerns related to energy, sleep, stress, weight, metabolism, digestion, hormonal changes and healthy aging Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Evaluate and manage perimenopause, menopause and other hormone-related concerns within the provider's training and scope Manage medically supervised weight-loss patients, including medication selection, monitoring, side-effect management and long-term maintenance planning Recommend appropriate lifestyle, nutritional and supplement interventions Perform and interpret body-composition assessments Provide ongoing follow-up and adjust treatment plans based on symptoms, laboratory findings, medication response and patient progress Educate patients regarding laboratory findings, diagnoses, prescribed medications, potential risks, expected outcomes and appropriate lifestyle modifications Ensure patients understand when wellness services supplement—but do not replace—primary care or specialty medical treatment Identify findings that require referral to primary care, endocrinology, gastroenterology, cardiology, gynecology or another specialist Coordinate care with outside healthcare providers when clinically appropriate and authorized by the patient Participate in the development and delivery of surgical preparation and postoperative recovery programs Provide or oversee IV and injectable wellness services after all clinical protocols, sourcing requirements and emergency procedures have been approved Maintain accurate, timely and compliant clinical documentation Program Development and Quality Partner with the Medical Director and COO to develop and launch Aestique Wellness Help establish the comprehensive wellness assessment, baseline lab panels and follow-up pathways Assist in developing clinical protocols, standing orders, patient-selection criteria, contraindications and escalation procedures Evaluate proposed lab tests, medications, supplements, pharmacy relationships, technology and treatment modalities Help design programs for women's midlife health, metabolic health, medical weight management, digestive concerns, healthy aging and surgical recovery Contribute clinical insight to program pricing, packaging and future membership development while maintaining appropriate clinical independence Assist in evaluating lab, pharmacy, supplement and medical-equipment vendors Help develop patient-education materials, informed consents and medical documentation templates Educate clinical and guest-relations team members on wellness services, patient eligibility and established workflows Participate in chart audits, patient-safety reviews and clinical quality-improvement initiatives Monitor patient outcomes, retention, satisfaction, adverse events and overall program performance Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based guidelines, regulatory requirements and emerging treatments related to wellness medicine Participate in wellness seminars, community outreach and patient-education events Required Qualifications Current, unrestricted Pennsylvania CRNP or Physician Assistant license Current national board certification Prescriptive authority and the ability to obtain or maintain all required collaborative or supervisory agreements Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one Current BLS certification; ACLS strongly preferred Minimum of five years of clinical experience as an advanced practice provider At least two years of direct experience in one or more of the following: Women's health or menopause care Obesity medicine or medical weight management Endocrinology Internal or family medicine Preventive, integrative or functional medicine Concierge medicine Demonstrated experience ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic testing Experience prescribing and monitoring medications with appropriate documentation and follow-up Strong clinical knowledge of women's health, endocrinology, obesity medicine, cardiometabolic risk, medication management, laboratory interpretation and preventive care Sound clinical judgment and the ability to recognize conditions requiring referral or a higher level of care Proficiency using electronic medical record systems Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate, timely and HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation Excellent communication, organization and patient-education skills Ability to deliver a highly personalized, hospitality-focused patient experience Interest in helping develop and grow a new clinical program Strongly Preferred Family Nurse Practitioner certification or comparable broad-based clinical training Experience evaluating and managing perimenopause and menopause Experience with evidence-based hormone therapy Experience with GLP-1 therapy and comprehensive medical weight management Experience with IV therapy, injectable wellness services and emergency-response protocols Experience in a cash-pay, concierge, wellness or medical-aesthetic setting Experience launching or expanding a clinical service line Familiarity with specialty lab testing and appropriate patient-selection criteria Experience with PatientNOW or the ability to learn a new electronic medical record system Experience tracking clinical outcomes and program performance Experience in medical aesthetics or plastic-surgery recovery is helpful but not required
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
