About Us Gastroenterology & Hepatology Associates, PLLC is a well-established gastroenterology practice located in Hendersonville, Tennessee. We are seeking a motivated, compassionate, and professional Nurse Practitioner to join our team and provide high-quality care to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner who enjoys building relationships with patients and working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff in a specialty practice setting. Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients with gastrointestinal and hepatology conditions in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations. Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with gastrointestinal and hepatology conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies. Review diagnostic results and communicate findings and treatment recommendations to patients. Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of licensure. Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, procedures, and lifestyle modifications. Manage follow-up visits and chronic gastrointestinal conditions. Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists, other providers, nurses, medical assistants, and office staff. Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough electronic medical records. Communicate effectively with patients, families, referring providers, and members of the healthcare team. Assist with coordinating appropriate referrals, procedures, and follow-up care. Participate in maintaining quality, safety, compliance, and patient satisfaction standards. Perform other duties consistent with the role of a Nurse Practitioner within the practice.

Qualifications Required:

Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Tennessee. Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner. Active DEA registration or ability to obtain one. Current BLS certification. Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a healthcare team. Professional, dependable, organized, and patient-focused.

Preferred:

Previous gastroenterology or hepatology experience. Experience in an outpatient specialty practice. Experience with electronic health records. Familiarity with gastrointestinal disorders, liver disease, and related diagnostic testing. Schedule Full-Time Monday-Thursday 8:00AM-5:00PM Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM No Weekends or Holidays Compensation Competitive salaried compensation — pay is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
