The role includes developing treatment strategies, reviewing diagnostic information, providing preventive care, and collaborating with consulting physicians. Responsibilities Assess patients and provide clinical and medical care based on individual needs. Analyze physical examination findings, laboratory reports, and diagnostic testing. Develop evidence-based treatment strategies for patients with complex diagnoses. Prescribe medications and issue non-controlled legend drugs within applicable requirements. Identify and respond to adverse drug reactions and medical emergencies. Provide basic life support/CPR, psychosocial counseling, and preventive healthcare as needed. Audit patient charts for protocols, standards of care, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with consulting physicians regarding patient care plans. Travel within the Upper Cumberland Region as required. Requirements Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse with an Advanced Practice Nurse certificate in Tennessee. Current national certification or eligibility for national certification in the appropriate nursing specialty. Tennessee RN and Advanced Practice Nurse licensure and national certification required within 60 days of employment. Certificate of Fitness from the Tennessee Board of Nursing required within 60 days of employment. Ability to provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and patient care. Ability to work independently and collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals.
