We are seeking an empathetic, forward-thinking, and clinically motivated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team. Position Overview The PMHNP will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, medication management, and psychotherapy under the supervision of a psychiatrist, while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary clinical team. The ideal candidate is passionate about behavioral health, committed to evidence-based practice, and interested in learning and utilizing innovative treatment modalities such as TMS. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and follow-up assessments. Assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric conditions under psychiatrist supervision and in accordance with applicable regulations and clinical protocols. Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's clinical presentation, goals, and needs. Provide medication management and psychotherapy as appropriate to the patient's treatment plan. Participate in the delivery of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy and related clinical services. Serve as a key member of the interdisciplinary care team, coordinating care across providers and ensuring continuity of treatment. Monitor, assess, and document patients' clinical status and response to treatment. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, therapists, and other members of the care team. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and ongoing care. Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and other clinical improvement activities. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection-control practices, standard precautions, and all applicable clinical and regulatory requirements. Participate in ongoing professional development and training related to psychiatric care and emerging treatment technologies. Qualifications Current Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) license in the State of Texas, in good standing and meeting all applicable state licensing and eligibility requirements. Current DEA registration . Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited college or university. 2-3 years of clinical experience providing mental health or psychiatric care preferred. Strong clinical judgment and a patient-centered approach to care. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team. Commitment to compassionate, ethical, and evidence-based psychiatric practice. Required Certifications Advanced Life Support (ALS/ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
