The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient support, medical documentation, and safety protocols, with experience working with diverse populations including geriatric, pediatric, and individuals with disabilities. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in assisting healthcare professionals by delivering personalized care that promotes comfort, dignity, and well-being. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments by implementing tailored care plans. Utilize medical terminology effectively when documenting patient information and communicating with healthcare team members. Operate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with movement and prevent injury. Assist in clinical procedures including phlebotomy, catheter care, and aseptic techniques as required for specific patient needs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care environments such as ICU or trauma centers to deliver comprehensive patient support. Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and sanitation standards. Engage in ongoing training related to EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks to ensure accurate medical records management. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program. Experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, or home care environments. Familiarity with medical office procedures and electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems). Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care. Knowledge of infection control practices including aseptic technique and basic life support (BLS). Prior experience in critical care areas such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong communication skills coupled with compassionate caregiving abilities tailored for geriatric, pediatric, or disabled populations. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices.
