Pacific Health Alliance is seeking compassionate, dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our Keiki Step Down , a licensed Child Caring Institution (CCI) providing a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for children and adolescents with complex behavioral health needs. This is more than a CNA position. It is an opportunity to build trusting relationships, provide stability during difficult moments, and help children develop the skills they need to succeed. Position Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct care, supervision, and behavioral support to children and adolescents in a residential treatment setting. Working alongside nurses, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members, the CNA helps create a safe, therapeutic environment while supporting each child's individualized treatment plan. What You'll Do Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to children and adolescents. Assist with activities of daily living, including hygiene, meals, mobility, and personal care. Build positive, supportive relationships while maintaining healthy professional boundaries. Support children during emotional or behavioral crises using approved de-escalation techniques. Observe, document, and report behavioral changes and concerns to the clinical team. Encourage participation in therapeutic, educational, recreational, and daily living activities. Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. Work collaboratively with nurses, behavioral health professionals, and residential staff. Follow all safety, infection control, confidentiality, and Child Caring Institution regulations. Qualifications Required Current Hawaii Nursing Assistant (NA) training required Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) Ability to pass required background clearances Ability to work with children and adolescents in a therapeutic residential environment Preferred Hawaii Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred Experience working with children, teens, or young adults Experience in behavioral health, mental health, residential treatment, youth services, foster care, developmental disabilities, or pediatric healthcare Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention techniques Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills What We're Looking For We are looking for individuals who are: Compassionate and patient Calm under pressure Reliable and dependable Positive team players Passionate about helping children heal and thrive Committed to providing exceptional care every day Schedule Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available 8-hour shifts Weekday, weekend, evening, and holiday availability required Why Join Pacific Health Alliance?
