(858)325-5542 for an immediate answer Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse populations across various healthcare settings. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring compliance with medical documentation standards. Support patient transfer methods safely using appropriate techniques to prevent injury for both patients and staff. Administer medications as directed by nursing staff following HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to maintain patient confidentiality and safety. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support. Assist in clinical procedures such as phlebotomy (blood draws), catheter care, and basic life support (CPR) in emergency situations. Document all patient interactions thoroughly within Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in settings such as long-term care facilities, hospitals—including ICU, trauma centers, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and post-acute care environments—to deliver comprehensive patient care. Support patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs through compassionate caregiving and communication. Follow infection control protocols rigorously during all patient interactions to ensure safety across all healthcare environments. Experience Prior experience working as a CNA or in a similar caregiving role within hospital medicine, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or home & community care settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Experience in critical care areas such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided where needed. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for delivering safe patient care. Familiarity with specialized care environments including hospice care, infectious disease management, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, and urgent/emergency medicine enhances your ability to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving heavy lifting and safe manual handling practices while maintaining excellent patient service standards.
