Job Description

Job Summary:
Delivers care and monitors the patient to preserve the patient's autonomy, dignity and rights. Committed to providing the highest quality of service and meeting our customers' needs with utmost care and courtesy.
Essential Job Duties:
Remains at patient's bedside at all times. Receives and provides report from and to nurses and nursing assistants on patients Administers water, snacks. Reads to patients and/or hands out reading materials or assists with viewing of patient education videos. Visits with patient. Provides for comfort of patients; fan, blankets, etc. Provides back rubs, foot rubs, applying lotion to patients Helps patient fill out food menu. Organizes patient rooms and ensures that rooms are free of clutter. Escorts patients that have been discharged if assignment allows. Assists the patients with activities of daily living. Assists the healthcare team by collecting, reporting, and documenting patient data. Maintains high patient and family satisfaction by providing care that is based on individual needs. Greets and assists guests to provide information and access to appropriate resources. Secondary Job Duties That May be
Reassigned:
Performs other duties as assigned and requested. Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of assigned duties throughout the unit. Evaluates your own scope of practice. Acquire and maintain current knowledge of assigned duties. Interact with, and contribute to, the development of peers. Deliver care in a nonjudgmental, nondiscriminatory, sensitive and culturally competent manner. Collaborate with the client, family members, significant others, and health care providers in providing care. Communicate effectively with clients, families and other health care professionals.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Experience as nursing assistant and or nursing student preferred.
