Job Description

Rates are negotiable! Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide exceptional patient care across diverse healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to supporting patients' physical, emotional, and psychological well-being while maintaining the highest standards of safety, confidentiality, and professionalism. As a CNA, you will work closely with healthcare teams to deliver personalized care that enhances patient comfort and recovery. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals across various age groups and medical conditions. Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, ensuring proper documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, utilizing techniques like aseptic procedures and dementia care best practices. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and wound care in compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in settings like hospitals—including ICU, trauma centers, pediatric units (PICU), and post-acute care facilities—to ensure comprehensive patient support. Maintain a safe environment through proper manual handling practices and heavy lifting techniques while following safe lifting protocols. Support patients in home care or community settings by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to individual needs across geriatrics, behavioral health, or developmental disabilities. Skills Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatric patients, pediatric patients, individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs. Knowledge of medical terminology related to medical-surgical care, ICU procedures, hospice services, and emergency medicine. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and basic life support (BLS), including CPR certification. Familiarity with advanced patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and safe manual handling practices. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient service delivery. Experience working within long-term care facilities or nursing homes is highly desirable; familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is essential.
