Job Description

Job Overview We are hiring STNA's to work in our Skilled nursing facility! We have long term halls, memory unit, as well as our short term rehab hall. We are an 80 bed, private owned facility! We like to run 3 aides to a unit as well as our nurse and med tech to help on the hall. We have 5 star staffing rates through ODH! We offer double time for holidays, paid time off, sick leave, and vacation time. We schedule 12 hour shifts and are looking for day shift and night shift! Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe lifting practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Ensuring proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems (PCC) while maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and dementia-specific protocols. Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, assisting our nurses with wound care, ensuring proper positioning for meals and daily activities, on the job training Support patient transfer methods using safe handling techniques and equipment to prevent injury. Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records or electronic health records (EHR), ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards. Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care across acute, post-acute, outpatient, or home settings. Qualifications Valid State Tested Nurse Aide certification required; active registration preferred. Prior experience working in long-term care facilities or hospitals is highly desirable; but not required. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS/CPR). Experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with disabilities is preferred; familiarity with dementia and Alzheimer's care is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers. Strong caregiver communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient service. Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Join us in delivering exceptional care that improves lives!
