This role encourages independence, ensures resident safety, and supports person-centered care practices. What You'll Do Act as a collaborative team member within the neighborhood Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and resident deaths Maintain resident records daily, including weights, vital signs, and other required documentation Provide redirection and de-escalation techniques for residents with cognitive impairments Assist residents or families who use external pharmacies Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents Respond promptly and positively to resident requests, including telephone calls and requests from family, visitors, or staff Perform all Personal Care Aide duties Monitor resident location and notify the Charge Nurse or Manager immediately if a resident cannot be located Follow proper emergency procedures and obtain additional personnel when necessary Answer resident emergencies promptly Assist with collecting specimens as needed Work all assigned tours of duty Maintain CPR, First Aid certifications Abide by the organization's code of conduct Perform other related duties as assigned What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 6 hours of dementia education annually Prior experience caring for older adults with cognitive impairments preferred Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and comprehension in English Ability to maintain resident and staff confidentiality Demonstrates respect, integrity, compassion, and excellence Commitment to person-centered care practices Team-oriented with flexibility and adaptability Flexible schedule with willingness to work extra hours as needed Why You'll Love Working at Frederick Living At Frederick Living, you'll be part of a compassionate, purpose-driven team.
