Duties Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility using safe lifting practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature with precision and attention to detail Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care techniques to promote comfort and orientation Collaborate with nursing staff to document medical records accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks Transfer patients safely utilizing patient transfer methods suited for different mobility levels while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient service and personalized care plans Requirements Valid CNA certification with current licensure in good standing Experience working in long-term care facilities or nursing homes preferred; experience in acute or hospital settings such as ICU or trauma centers is a plus Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, catheter care, and basic life support (CPR) certification required Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Meditech for accurate medical documentation Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely while following safe lifting practices Strong caregiver communication skills with a compassionate approach toward geriatric patients and individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Join us in delivering exceptional senior care by bringing energy, expertise, and empathy to every resident interaction.
