As a CNA, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients, working closely with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care in environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care settings. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring specialized medical and personal support. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring proper documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration under supervision, adhering to HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety. Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies to promote comfort and orientation. Assist with catheter care, wound dressing changes, and other medical procedures following established protocols. Experience Candidates should demonstrate experience working in various healthcare settings including hospital medicine, long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Prior exposure to critical care units like ICU or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques is essential for success in this role. Additional qualifications include familiarity with pediatric or behavioral health care settings, hospice or post-acute care experience, and proficiency in basic life support (BLS). A background working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges enhances your ability to provide personalized patient-centered care.
