Position Description:

The WSCI WyHS CNA Respite/Homemaker Worker is a member of the home care team under the direction of the Access Care Coordinator, Program Manager and WSCI Executive Director.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The duties of a CNA Respite Worker/Homemaker Worker may include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Record pertinent information into the client's care file. 2. Provide care to the client as described in the client Service Plan. 3. Complete required client task sheets and timesheet accurately and timely. 4. Remind clients to take medication at the appropriate time. 5. Bathe and dress clients 6. Assist clients with transfers in a safe manner 7. Plan and prepare meals according to specific dietary requirements of the client. 8. Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment through light housekeeping including changing bed linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning kitchen, cleaning bathroom, and laundry. 9. Provide companionship and stimulation for the client including reading, walks, letter writing, etc. 10. Perform grocery shopping when needed. 11. Shall follow the rules and regulations promulgated by the Wyoming State Board of Nursing. 12. Abide by legal directives and oversight of the program nurse. 13. Observe and report changes in client's condition to this agency Program Manager/Coordinator and Program Nurse. 14. Participate in in-service education programs.

EXEMPT POSITION

The position of Respite Worker is not an "Exempt" position as classified under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The Respite Worker is classified as "

PART-TIME
