Job description: AdministratorBuffalo Prairie Lead with Purpose. Lead with Heart. Lead the Team. What You'll Do As Administrator, you will provide overall leadership and direction for the facility while ensuring that day-to-day operations support excellent resident care and a positive workplace culture. Lead the Team Provide strong, visible, and approachable leadership throughout the facility. Build a culture of teamwork, accountability, respect, and open communication. Partner with department leaders to establish goals, expectations, and performance standards. Coach, mentor, and develop leaders and staff to help them reach their full potential. Recognize team accomplishments and help create an environment where employees feel valued. Address employee relations and performance concerns fairly, consistently, and in accordance with facility policies. Champion Our Residents Keep residents at the center of decision-making. Promote dignity, choice, safety, and quality of life for every resident. Develop positive relationships with residents and families. Respond to concerns promptly and professionally. Encourage a culture where residents and families feel heard, respected, and welcomed. Drive Quality & Compliance Ensure facility operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and inspections. Partner with the Director of Nursing and department heads to monitor quality outcomes and implement improvement plans. Support Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives. Review facility trends, audits, reports, and performance indicators and take appropriate action when improvement is needed. Ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently throughout the facility. Manage Operations Provide oversight of daily facility operations and workflow. Monitor staffing, scheduling, census, labor, and operational needs. Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical departments to identify challenges and develop solutions. Participate in budget planning, expense management, and financial performance initiatives. Support census development, referral relationships, admissions, and community outreach. Maintain positive relationships with physicians, vendors, residents, families, referral partners, and community organizations. Build a Strong Culture We believe that people make the difference . Previous healthcare leadership experience required; skilled nursing facility experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of long-term care operations, regulations, staffing, quality, and resident services. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with residents, families, employees, providers, regulatory agencies, and community partners.
