Confidential Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) Opportunity Skilled Nursing Facility | North Carolina Position Overview A respected long-term care organization is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to provide executive leadership for an established skilled nursing facility in North Carolina . This opportunity is ideal for a proven healthcare leader who understands that successful facility operations require a balance of exceptional resident care, strong employee engagement, regulatory compliance, census development, and financial performance . The selected Administrator will have full responsibility for facility operations and will partner closely with regional and corporate leadership to strengthen performance, develop the leadership team, and position the facility for continued success. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and direction for the day-to-day operations of the skilled nursing facility. Build, develop, and retain a strong facility leadership team while creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and employee engagement. Ensure the facility maintains compliance with all applicable federal, state, CMS, and North Carolina regulatory requirements . Partner closely with the Director of Nursing and clinical leadership to promote strong clinical outcomes and exceptional resident care. Maintain survey readiness and lead the facility through state and federal surveys, plans of correction, and regulatory follow-up when necessary. Monitor operational and financial performance, including labor management, agency utilization, census, expenses, and overall profitability. Develop and execute strategies to strengthen census, admissions, referral relationships, and market presence . Review facility KPIs and implement effective action plans when opportunities for improvement are identified. Promote employee retention and engagement through visible, accessible, and consistent leadership. Establish strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, hospitals, referral partners, and members of the surrounding community. Ensure appropriate staffing levels while balancing quality outcomes with responsible labor management. Partner with regional and corporate resources to execute organizational initiatives and achieve facility goals. Foster a resident-centered environment built around dignity, respect, quality, and service excellence. Qualifications Current North Carolina Nursing Home Administrator license required. Previous experience as a Nursing Home Administrator, Executive Director, or comparable operational leader within a skilled nursing/long-term care environment strongly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of CMS regulations, survey processes, compliance, and skilled nursing operations . Proven ability to lead and develop interdisciplinary department heads and frontline teams. Strong understanding of facility financials, labor management, census development, and operational performance. Experience successfully navigating surveys and implementing sustainable performance-improvement initiatives. Strong communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Ability to establish accountability while maintaining a positive and supportive leadership presence. Track record of improving or maintaining strong clinical, operational, staffing, and financial outcomes.
