The instructor for the Nursing Program will plan, direct and supervise the learning experiences of Registered Nursing and/or Practical Nursing students in the classroom, the nursing laboratory and the clinical setting relating to mental health experiences. The instructor will design and implement teaching strategies that will assist a nursing student to meet the course objectives or outcomes; supervise the activities of clinical/lab instructors and evaluate each nursing student's achievement and progress with input from the clinical/lab instructor or preceptor. Must be familiar with the Ohio Board of Nursing rules and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Clinical practice skills within the last two years; focus on mental health, must be familiar with new clinical practices within the scope of a registered nurse. Must be able to communicate with students, faculty and administration. Good organizational and time management skills. Must have a positive personality, interact well with students, faculty and administration. Positive attitude.
Minimum Requirements:
A Master's degree with a major in nursing is required. Completion of a State Board of Nursing approved Registered Nursing education program; Current, valid, unencumbered license to practice Registered Nursing in the State of Ohio; at least two years in the practice of nursing as a Registered Nurse; at least two years' experience teaching in an Associate Degree Registered Nursing program with emphasis on mental-health instruction.
