Nurse Manager - Substance Abuse

Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION
Provides coordinated medical and clinical care for assigned patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: Assists in recruitment and training of RN staff Maintain schedule for RN staff Assists or spearhead improvement of program policies and procedures\ Directly assist RRRC with Medical and facility compliance related matters Assist in streamlining daily operations/systems Assist with staff and client conflict resolution Assist in identifying areas for professional development for team members Provides coordinated medical and clinical nursing care to meet the needs of patients. Performs a full range of nursing services including assessing, planning, administering and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. Conduct and document a thorough assessment of each patient's medical status upon admission and throughout the patient's course of treatment. Administers medical treatment as prescribed by the physician. Attend and participate in clinical team conferences regarding patient progress, problems and needs. Assist in the development and implementation of an individualized treatment plan for patients. Oversees medication reconciliation along with reviewing and sign off on medication incident reports. Conducts Utilization Review as needed. Documents and reports patient progress to treatment team. Act in compliance with Red Rock Recovery Center's regulatory and professional standards and guidelines. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team Ability to perform Nursing and behavioral assessments using appropriate framework. Demonstrated skill in the delivery of patient care as a member of a therapeutic team. Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistent basis. Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan and actively involve patients, family and the therapeutic team. Skill in setting priorities, organizing workload to effectively administer direct patient care. Ability to work effectively with stress and in crisis situations. Performs peer reviews for Red Rock Recovery clients Assist and participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings. Assist Social Worker Position, Activities Director and Physician with other daily groups and assist patients with meals as needed. Assist therapists with therapy groups by leading educational groups, which will focus on medication and health issues. Work with staff on discharging patients when goals are met. Initiating care plans and goal setting to adhere to treatment planning standards. Housekeeping of the Department to include keeping the work area clean and clutter free for the safety of patients. Carry out all written and verbal orders per physician. Assist and coordinate with physician on potential patient admissions through intake assessment Coordinate the admission of patients with completion of required documentation Monitor daily vital signs as ordered by the physician. Completes all CIWA and COW assessments and reassessments. Monitor Performance Improvement reports. Participates in scheduled staff meetings/inservices. Administer patient medications as ordered by the medical provider Coordinates with CAO in supply ordering and inventory control
OTHER DUTIES
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
: Supervises RNs Recruit, hire, and onboard RN staff in coordination with the DON and or Medical Director Manages and implements nursing schedule to ensure 24 hour RN coverage at facility Participates in on-call rotation Serves as Interim Director of Nursing in the absence of DON and or Medical Director.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this successfully, an individual should have adequate education, experience, and knowledge regarding the nature and treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction. Knowledge of community resources, principles, and techniques of alcoholism, addicts and drug abuse counseling. Basic knowledge of kitchen and food service as well as facilities cleanliness and maintenance. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Associates in Nursing, prefer a Bachelors in Nursing. At least 2-5 years' experience as a RN, with 1 year of substance abuse practice.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
: Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to handle paperwork; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk and travel between work locations. Employee may be required to assist in food service and janitorial related duties.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Group area is an open work area; noise level is usually moderate. Office area is quiet.

Pay:
$87,000.00 - $114,000.00 per year
