Job Description:
Performs all aspects of clinical patient care. Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided. Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees. Collaborates with the management team regarding daily staffing needs, determines coverage for both daily and future needs, and makes adjustments to the daily schedule to accommodate changes and coordinate staff assignments while maintaining operational efficiency. Develops and communicates realistic problem lists for patients in collaboration with the patient and family. Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs to provide quality care. Monitors and evaluates patient progress and adjusts care plans as necessary. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintains current knowledge, certification, and licensure, and pursues ongoing professional growth and development. Provides patient education and support to address identified needs. Other duties as assigned. Implements medical plans of care, nursing interventions, and procedures using necessary skills and judgment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements. [Required]
Articulates comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and specialty nursing theory and practice for all age groups. [Preferred]
