Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate RN/LPN - Charge Nurse to lead and coordinate nursing care within our healthcare facility. This vital role involves supervising clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. As a Charge Nurse, you will serve as a pivotal point of contact for both staff and patients, fostering a positive environment that promotes healing, safety, and well-being. Your expertise in various medical disciplines and strong leadership skills will drive excellence in our care team. Responsibilities Oversee daily nursing operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to care plans. Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance on clinical procedures and best practices. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation updates. Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following strict protocols. Coordinate patient care activities such as catheterization, tube feeding, wound care, and pain management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop discharge plans and ensure seamless patient transitions. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, long-term care regulations, infection control policies, and clinical confidentiality standards. Skills Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and memory care needs. Extensive knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation. Strong background in critical care settings including ICU, emergency medicine, Level I & II trauma centers, or hospital medicine. Skilled in triage assessment, acute pain management, infectious disease care, and respiratory support including ventilator management. Proficiency in
ICD-9/10
coding, CPT coding for procedures, and medical terminology to ensure precise documentation. Experience with long-term care facilities such as skilled nursing or assisted living environments is highly desirable. Ability to perform physical examinations, specimen collection/processing, suturing, and sterile techniques when necessary. Excellent caregiver communication skills with an emphasis on patient-centered care and team collaboration. Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per week
