CHARGE NURSE

for our Dementia Floor Full Time

• Monday
• Friday
• 7am•3pm Must possess a valid, current RN License in the State of MA.

You will work alongside fellow caregivers to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities of our

Charge Nurse:

Follow each person's Care Plan and monitor potential changes Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior Med Pass, Treatment pass and documenting in the EMR Communicate with collaborating team members, including calling MD and PA's to report Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention Maintain accurate patient medical records Provide advice within your scope of practice and emotional support to patients and their family members Train new team members Evaluate nurses' performance Inform family members about medical procedures and doctors' instructions Handle complaints or other issues Ability to build rapport with patients Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Establish a compassionate environment by providing psychological support to patients, family and friends Requirements of our

Nurse Unit Manager:

2+ years working in long term care. Familiarity with Point click Care

• EMR Thorough knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare.

Team management skills. Great communication and people skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. BSC or diploma in nursing; training in healthcare administration is a plus. Valid nursing license.
