It also serves as the base teaching hospital for Michigan State University. About this unit The Nursing Administration team offers an opportunity to gain experience and broader skill set providing coverage for nursing departments. You can enhance your skills by working in these departments while still feeling like you belong to a team. This RN Supervisor is a key team member monitoring hospital movement. Scope of work The Nurse Supervisor coordinates and organizes personnel and other resources to meet the patient care functions of the organization, in a cost-effective manner. Collaborates to provide crisis management, interpret policy and procedure, and assure timely and effective communication and collaboration between individuals and departments. The Nurse Supervisor represents the organizational leadership across all venues on 24-hour basis and collaborates to make decisions an act on behalf of the leadership team. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required. Master's degree in nursing (MSN) Preferred. 3 years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required. One year of formal nursing leadership experience for external applicants Required. One year of relevant demonstrated informal leadership experience required for internal applicants, may include but are not limited to: Charge Lead Nurse, Charge Nurse responsibilities, leadership on behalf of unit/site/system at Shared Governance Council, Required. MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required. AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
